In the snow-capped landscapes of Corvara in Badia, a popular ski destination in the Dolomites, lies La Perla, a family-led hotel that first opened its doors in 1956 with Ernesto and Anny Costa. Today, the property is managed by their sons Michil and Mattias with a united philosophy that is deeply rooted in tradition. La Perla is warm, inviting and beautifully-curated space that essentially feels like a large South-Tyrolean home.

Collectable items from the Costa family are hung on the walls as well as vintage chinaware, vases and artwork are displayed throughout the property. Then there’s the sustainability pillar; this transcends throughout all three dining outlets: the Michelin starred La Stüa de Michil, Les Stües (six uniquely designed dining-rooms for a more casual candle-lit evening) and the Bistrot (where evenings are accompanied by the sound of glass clinks at the bar and live music).

Overlooking the slopes (and the occasional skiier), La Perla treasures a small boutique they call Schmuckkastl, a project curated by Anny Costa and Stefan Mayr, that brings together a selection of objects and artisanal creations. This has become the temporary home of Caraluna, an itinerant concept store whose permanent home resides within the Due Lune resort in Sardegna. This property, built from the ground up by the Fumagalli family, is where visitors can breathe an air of authenticity in one of the most breathtaking coastal frames.

The union between La Perla and Caraluna comes from a shared vision for beauty: beauty in craftsmanship and in valuable objects that tell a story that go beyond the surface. Caraluna is founded by Carolina Fumagalli who desired to visually represent and transform a philosophy into a place: somewhere people can bring home unique pieces that have a sense of freedom, and of home itself. The project gathers fashion, design and one-of-a-kind accessories to Sardinian artisanal pieces and discoveries rooted in conscious luxury. Each object carries a sense of provenance, chosen with care by Eva Geraldine Fontanelli, founder of ethical platform Goooders, while vintage finds and the visual identity by Teresa Maccapani Missoni.

The pop-up is available at La Perla until 28th February, otherwise you can purchase directly from the e-commerce site here.
