A multi-million investment is injected in the city

Rome’s San Lorenzo district is about to welcome a game-changing addition to its creative landscape: The Social Hub Rome, a €114 million hybrid hospitality project opening March 31, 2025. Transforming a historic former railway customs house, this 24,000-square-metre complex is set to become a dynamic space for travelers, students, and locals alike.

Blending a four-star hotel, co-working spaces, event venues, and dining options, The Social Hub breathes fresh life into the San Lorenzo neighbourhood, known for its artistic and cultural energy. A 10,000-square-metre public park, opening this summer, connects three buildings: a 396-room hotel, a revitalised event venue, and the new home of Accademia Italiana, a prestigious design school.

In a city famed for its cuisine, The Social Hub Rome raises the bar with a modern Roman restaurant, a rooftop pool and cocktail bar, and a strategic partnership with Berberè, one of Italy’s top pizzerias.

With sustainability at its core, the project aims for BREEAM certification, employs over 50 local staff, and will host 600+ events annually. A Certified B Corporation, The Social Hub also supports young changemakers through the TSH Talent Foundation, ensuring this bold new venture makes an impact beyond hospitality.
