Palazzo Ripetta has inaugurated a new rooftop terrace in the heart of Rome, between Piazza del Popolo and Piazza di Spagna. The hotel, housed within a 16th century palazzo, was recently restored into a contemporary, fresh option in the city and this September completed its terrace. Within the hotel there are 78 rooms and suites that celebrate fine craftsmanship and modern art as well as the restaurant San Babylon; an intimate space of leather seating, wooden boiserie and dimmed lighting with a comfort food approach to the menu. Chef Marco Ciccotelli is behind the concept, with previous experience within the Dorchester Collection, combining his travelled experiences to flavours from his home-region Abruzzo. The desert menu is signed Le Levain, a renowned pastry shop in Rome whereas the cocktail menu of the Baylon Cocktail Bar was studied by the Jerry Thomas Project barmen, a speakeasy included in the 50 World Best Bar for six years in a row. Etere rooftop bar joins the much love courtyard within the hotel as a outdoors space to enjoy a scenic aperitivo watching over the hills of Rome in the distance.
