And it's the largest in Europe

A thrilling new development is underway at Terme & SPA Italia, the leading hospitality and wellness group behind Terme di Saturnia Natural Destination. This month, the group officially inaugurated De Montel – Terme Milano, marking the most significant addition to Milan’s wellness scene and the largest urban thermal park in Europe. The city reclaims its thermal heritage with this transformative project, which breathes new life into the historic Scuderie De Montel, blending wellness, sustainability, and urban regeneration.

Spanning 16,000 square meters, De Montel – Terme Milano draws from a natural aquifer 396 meters underground, nearly three times the height of the Duomo. This mineral-rich thermal water, long celebrated for its therapeutic properties, creates a deeply rooted, territory-inspired wellness experience. The expansive complex features 10 indoor and outdoor pools, 16 massage rooms, 4 saunas, a purifying Hammam, multiple dining options, and 9 dedicated relaxation areas. A 6,000-square-meter park, dotted with lush greenery, enhances the tranquil retreat.

Now a landmark of urban wellness, De Montel – Terme Milano revives the city’s ancient thermal tradition, dating back to Roman times. Even in the 1930s, Milanese residents recognized the benefits of Acqua Marcia, a local sulfurous spring once hailed as an elixir of well-being. With this grand reopening, Milan embraces its historic roots while shaping the future of urban relaxation—offering a serene, day-to-night escape in the heart of the city.
