An agriturismo in the Tuscan countryside to regenerate your creativity

The ultimate destination for those seeking to blend a city escape with a few days in the countryside. Villa Lena is equidistant between Florence, Pisa and Siena, with just over one hour’s car journey from each city. Villa Lena opened just under ten years ago when Lena, art collector and gallery manager, moved from London to Tuscany and gave life to this hub for artists and creators. It’s a paradise for those who seek inspiration, surrounded by the Colline Pisane where your days are accompanied by the sound of cicadas and the hustle of the trees. The heart and soul is the terracotta coloured Villa, home to these creative enthusiasts who each month, upon rotation, will reside in the villa and host creative workshops as well as creating pieces of art, sculptures, textiles and paintings that are displayed around the rooms and available to purchase. There is always something active or nurturing, such as morning yoga classes at the shala, overlooking the olive trees to taking a walk around the vegetable garden where Gigi will be picking fresh produce amongst butterflies and bumble bees. The beauty of Villa Lena lies within the details, with simple furnishings enhanced with artwork and hand painted phrases and fresh flowers neatly arranged every morning. Here, nature is the pinnacle source of inspiration where the landscapes provide fresh, organic ingredients and sweeping layered views all around.
