A New Sanctuary of Understated Luxury

The former Royal Residence of Queen Victoria becomes Anacapri’s next hospitality project is set to open in the summer of 2026

Nestled in the verdant landscapes away from Capri’s tourist crowds, Casa Caprile is set to become the island’s most coveted retreat when it opens in summer 2026. This restored 19th-century residence offers an authentic connection to the island’s contemplative side.

Spearheaded by hospitality veteran Gabriella Russo of JK Place Capri, the property serves as an antidote to the island’s overwhelming popularity. “We created Casa Caprile for those seeking the authentic soul of Capri,” says Russo. “It’s a home where guests can immerse into island life, surrounded by natural beauty and thoughtful design.”

Within a 10,000-square-meter Mediterranean garden, the 12-room boutique hotel artfully balances heritage with contemporary comfort. Each room features a distinct character while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic. The living room serves as the property’s heart – a space for lingering over coffee or sharing aperitivi.

The pool employs an innovative magnesium purification system and is temperature-controlled year-round. Culinary offerings follow a garden-to-table philosophy, celebrating Neapolitan and Caprese cuisine with house-baked breads using alternative grains.

Though initially a seasonal destination, Casa Caprile plans to welcome guests year-round. “The winter months reveal Anacapri’s most authentic character,” notes Russo, a village native. “This is when you truly experience the dolce vita – in the quiet moments when the island belongs to those who cherish it most.”

Casa Caprile promises to be not merely accommodation, but a genuine sanctuary for experiencing Capri at its most soulful and serene.
