Belmond has signed an agreement with Sardegna Resorts S.r.l., a company entirely owned by the Qatar Investment Authority (“QIA”), for the management of the Romazzino Hotel in Porto Cervo, Sardinia. Under Belmond’s management, the property will take the name of Romazzino, A Belmond Hotel, Costa Smeralda.

Romazzino overlooks the most picturesque part of the Costa Smeralda and the homonymous beach, a seductive strip of white sand and also one of the most iconic views of the whole Costa Smeralda. Originally conceived by the Aga Khan in the 1960s, Romazzino was designed by the well-known architect Michele Busiri Vici.

Romazzino integrates perfectly into the current range of Belmond facilities and will be subject to rebranding operations aimed at enhancing the most authentic and traditional characteristics of the facility and its territory, offering guests superior services and experiences.

When the Belmond Hotel will open in 2024, Romazzino will have numerous charming rooms, suites and villas, and two wonderful swimming pools along the private beach. Guests will be able to enjoy the lifestyle of the typical Italian holiday at a slower pace, relaxing thanks to facilities dedicated to wellness, adventures with attention to the smallest details that can be carried out on land or at the sea and experiences to discover local craftsmanship. The guests’ stay will be enriched by the offer of various restaurants and bars that enhance the best Sardinian products, to be tasted.
