Every September, one of Florence’s most eye-opening events unfolds behind the bucolic walls of the Giardino Corsini, and the 32nd edition, running 11–13 September 2026, may be its most ambitious yet. This year’s theme, Reconnect with Nature, sets the tone for an exhibition bringing together 100 artisans and young designers whose work takes the transformative processes of earth, water and matter as its starting point. The result is a genuine cultural conversation between tradition and experimentation, past and present, the handmade and the visionary.
Highlights include an immersive site-specific installation by designer Jonathan Bocca, Sap. The Philosophy of Wonder, a large organic structure threading through palace and garden like a living root system, reinterpreting the estate’s historic statues through a contemporary lens; Michel Vecchi’s Bosco Sonoro, where 25 mushroom-shaped sculptures carved from fallen trees reimagine the Orto delle Monache as a sensory landscape, complete with a headphone listening experience; and the Thòlos Pavilion by CanyaLab, a bamboo structure built live as an open workshop throughout the event.
The programme also brings together Next Generation, a selection of young makers supported by Fondazione Ferragamo who share a single conviction: that traditional craft is a living, evolving language. Among these, Simone Falli weaves on self-built wooden looms with natural yarns and vegetable dyes; Chen Yueting and Xu Weidong reinterpret the textile motifs of China’s Guizhou ethnic minorities in cross-cultural dialogue with Italy; Lapo Giusti explores crystalline glazes on stoneware and porcelain to create singular, unrepeatable pieces; Tommaso Maselli carries forward a family restoration practice rooted in Florence since 1955; and Kimberly Bárcenas Hernández makes sgraffito murals where Mexican and European traditions meet in the walls themselves.
This edition also presents Between Nature and Artifice, a group exhibition curated by Jean Blanchaert exploring the boundary between what nature produces and what human hands transform; a tribute to Faenza ceramics doyenne Antonietta Mazzotti Emaldi, presented by Starhotels as part of their La Grande Bellezza patronage initiative; and Recreos at the Palace, a new addition from Fondazione CR Firenze showcasing winners of an initiative dedicated to the artisanal regeneration of Via Palazzuolo. Vintage cars in the Secret Garden, brunch by Ditta Artigianale, and a daily programme of free talks and workshops.
