Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel is where the charm of history and the beauty of the Amalfi Coast combine with the comfort of exclusive hospitality. This 5-star hotel is housed in a former 13th-century convent perched on a cliff overlooking the sea, offering unforgettable views of the coast and the city of Amalfi. Guests can easily reach Amalfi by descending and ascending the steps of the picturesque ‘monks’ path’ through orange gardens, ancient dry stone walls, and typical whitewashed houses. Within minutes, one can transition from the peace of an exclusive retreat to the lively vibrancy of Amalfi’s alleys and squares.
Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel, one year after reopening following meticulous renovations and restorations, offers 52 rooms and suites, including the Prior’s Suite, which preserves period frescoes and overlooks the magnificent cloister, and the Hermit’s Suite, a romantic refuge with a private lemon grove.

The hotel’s culinary offerings are showcased at the “Dei Cappuccini” Restaurant, led by Executive Chef Claudio Lanuto, who presents a future-heritage concept for the summer, emphasising seasonal ingredients along with those from the convent’s garden. There’s also the Locanda della Canonica Pizzeria by Gino Sorbillo, featuring signature pizzas such as the “Pizza del Convento,” made with traditional monastic ingredients: ancient grain flour, alacce (a fish similar to sardines – a Slow Food presidium), zucchini flowers, black olive powder, smoked provola, and Amalfi lemon.

Wellness and relaxation are provided at the Anantara Spa, which overlooks the sea and offers treatments and therapies based on citrus products from the property’s lemon groves. Outdoors, there is a fitness center and, of course, a panoramic swimming pool.
