Hotel de Russie, a landmark property from Rocco Forte Hotels located between Piazza del Popolo and Piazza di Spagna, has partnered with luxury footwear brand Aquazzura to open the first-ever Aquazzura Bar. The project combines the hotel’s longstanding presence in Rome’s hospitality scene with Aquazzura’s expanding lifestyle vision.
The bar, which marks part of Hotel de Russie’s 25th anniversary celebrations, was designed as a contemporary tequila bar inspired by the relaxed feel of Mediterranean summers. Guests can expect a curated cocktail list with a strong focus on tequila-based drinks, developed by Federico Pavan and led by bartender Matteo Capezzuoli. Signature options include a monthly rotating Frozen Margarita and the Agave Nero, Aquazzura founder Edgardo Osorio’s take on the Espresso Martini.
The setting, located in the hotel’s historic garden designed by architect Giuseppe Valadier, features elements from Aquazzura Casa’s Secret Garden porcelain line. The tapas menu is created by Fulvio Pierangelini, Rocco Forte Hotels’ Creative Director of Food, and is served on Aquazzura Casa tableware. The overall concept reflects Osorio’s personal interest in design and entertainment, with attention to visual detail and atmosphere. With this collaboration, Aquazzura extends its brand beyond fashion into hospitality, while Hotel de Russie introduces a new destination within its charming walls — aimed at both locals and international visitors.
