The latest addition to the bay

Opened in April 2023, Palazzo Vecchio Taormina is a high-profile project wanted by Stefano Gegnacorsi, the owner and Managing Director of the luxury boutique hotel. It’s housed within an ancient palace from the nineteenth century and perched on sixteenth-century walls, the restyling was curated by the architect Andrea Perra, a very important name in the world of hospitality.

A boutique hotel with 12 luxury suites whose furniture and details bring back to life the traditional Sicilian noble residence such as the colonial style Orangery, the bar decorated with trop l’oeil wallpaper, period furniture, the Louis XVI console, antique silverware and the aviary.

The restaurant of Palazzo Vecchia Taormina, Monsù, will welcome guests from breakfast to dinner, discovering the ancient recipes of the Monsù, cooks in the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. The terrace will be a real gem, an explosion of typical Sicilian plants: orange blossoms, Sicilian jasmine, bougainvillea, perched upon a tower between the sky and the sea of the bay of Taormina with a view of Etna, perfect for aperitifs with a breath-taking view.
