Or perhaps you see the rolling Tuscan hills in the distance as you walk barefoot on the freshly mowed lawn, either way our Italy is filled with endless destinations that can undoubtedly tick all your fairytale wedding checklists. Here, we’ve curated a collection of our favourite wedding locations in Italy:

LA PESCAIA RESORT, TOSCANA

Nestled among the ancient olive trees and the scent of jasmine in the Tuscan Maremma, La Pescaia is an enchanting location. The nineteenth-century Villa Tolomei provides the ancient stone walled setting to over six thousand ancient olive trees, luscious gardens and towering cypress trees so emblematic of the region. An exclusive resort that can accommodate up to 36 guests in country chic designed suites, and up to 120 seated guests. An expanse of greenery to enjoy aperitivo, lunches, dinners and dancing under the starlit sky. Villa Cetinale, siena, toscana

Located in the heart of the Senese countryside, Villa Cetinale is a grand palazzo built in the Roman Baroque style, with a history that dates back to the 17th century with the Chigi family. The villa was initially designed by Bernini’s famous pupil Carlo Fontana, who took inspiration by the works of the great architect and painter Baldassare Peruzzi, who had designed Villa Farnesina in Rome. Today, the estate is available to rent as a whole, with it’s majestic gardens lines with lemon trees and beautifully trimmed hedges as well as housing a small 17th century chapel that can accommodate up to 30 guests, whereas the entire reception can accommodate 120 day guests. With regards to sleeping, there are other 3 properties on the Centinale estate allowing up to 48 guests to stay the night. WEBSITE

CASTELLO CAMEMI, SICILIA

A charming location in the heart of the Sicilian countryside whose fourteenth century fortification was once owned by the noble Sicilian Ventimiglia family. CARUSO, a belmond hotel RAVELLO, CAMPANIA

Perched upon a hilltop overlooking the Amalfi Coast, Ravello, has long been one of the most desired wedding locations (and we can truly understand why. From Caruso, peek at how the Tyrrhenian sea seeps into the horizon, coming at one with the blue sky above, creating only the faintest of white lines – the coastline below and the Monte Lattari in front. MASSERIA SPINA RESORT, PUGLIA

The red façade of Masseria Spina Resort stands out among vast sheets of secular olive trees (seven hectares) in the heart of Monopoli, in the beloved Itria Valley. A rustic environment that goes hand in hand with the authenticity of the location overlooking the Adriatic sea. In the masseria there are various dedicated ares to weddings from the main square where the iconic red façade of the masseria stands to an internal courtyard and olive grove where bays of hay can be propped beautifully for a rustic, countryside event. PALAZZO VILÒN, ROMA

Rome has just unveiled one of the most sumptuous destinations, located in the heart of the city centre. The former residence of the aristocratic Borghese family which was acquired by the Shedir Group and converted into a charming residence with four double bedrooms, lounge, dining room and SPA. The interiors are carefully curated by Giampiero Panepinto who uses an eclectic mix of colours that contrast beautifully with the gold gilded furnishings and frescoed ceilings. A stunning location for an out-of-the-ordinary reception that almost puts the best museums to shame. WEBSITE

VILLA PLINIANA, LOMBARDIA 

Against the backdrop of Lake Como, glistening in the sunlight, Villa Pliniana is a well refined, classic location immersed among lush gardens and a majestic ballroom that can accommodate up to 200 people seated for dinner, and 18 suites that can sleep around 40 people. This is an idyllic destination for those looking to marry in the blissful setting of a Lake, where the sunset turns the atmosphere even more magical than it could already be. Grand interiors feature in the villa with a recent renovation in which certain areas were curated by Patricia Urquiola, the designer of the sister property il Sereno, who refreshed the aesthetics with contemporary touches whilst preserving and retaining the character of the original design.
